~You're Not Alone~ By Jannette Fuller
Whether or not if you're around people or by yourself, you know deep down inside or even perhaps on the surface, that you desire the acceptance, love, and companionship from others. But it's hard when those whom you seek reject you, adding more to your loneliness and pain. Unfortunately, this only fuels more frustration, bitterness, anger, self-pity, and fear that things will never change--that people will never change--that you will never change.
We have the power to influence each other--good or bad--but we cannot force ourselves or our ways upon one another. However, we do have the right, authority, responsibility, and the capability of doing so for ourselves, becoming the person we want to be and living the life we want to live. But people may still reject you, not caring if you stay the same or if you change for the better, but regardless of this...Never Give Up!
Would you like to know why? Because you deserve to be healthy and happy, and you should accept and love yourself the way God does: flaws and weaknesses included. And when we try to seek these things from others, who are flawed as well, we will be disappointed. Why? Because we are all human. And God is the only one who can give us what we need, who understands us completely, and who can do for us what we and others cannot. Am I saying we should stop seeking the advice, counsel, and help from others? Absolutely not. But we need to remember that even the most caring, loving, and godly people will let us down too, whether they mean to or not and whether they realize it or not. So, when this happens, forgive them immediately and sincerely, and then go to the one who will never let you down and whom you can always trust: God.
~Keys to Transformation~
It is vital for you, and for all of us, to abide in God's presence and the Bible, digesting His timeless truths concerning who He truly is and who you truly are. We are all creatures of habits and our minds are like sponges--they absorb everything we hear, feel, see, experience, and everything from the past. So with that said, in order for true transformation to occur, we must rewire our brains and core belief system. And how do we do this? By changing our thoughts and self-talk.
Romans12:2 "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is his good, pleasing and perfect will."
I know you've probably read plenty of articles on this topic before, but I want you to know that I'm being a hundred percent sincere with everything I've said. And the reason I felt passionate to write about this is because I have, and sometimes still do, experience the pains of rejection. However, God's been helping me to change day by day. So, just like you, I am in the process of establishing healthy lifestyle habits: mental, emotional, physical, and social.
Let me say one more thing before I go, I have also suffered from Agoraphobia since the age seventeen--the ultimate form of fear and anxiety--and now I am forty-one-years-old. Although I have not been completely set free of these conditions/strongholds, God is using me to encourage, help, and inspire others despite of my weaknesses and flaws. And trust me; God's word is always true.
Matthew 19:26 "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
