A California attorney who unsuccessfully sued the government at least twice challenging the use of the phrase "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance has filed a federal lawsuit in Ohio challenging a similar phrase on U.S. currency and coins.
Sacramento attorney Michael Newdow filed the lawsuit Monday in Akron. The lawsuit argues the phrase "In God We Trust" on U.S. money is unconstitutional and violates separation of church and state. The lawsuit wants the phrase prohibited from use on money.
The lawsuit represents 41 plaintiffs from Ohio and Michigan, including many unnamed parents and children who are atheists or are being raised as atheists. Defendants include Congress and various federal agencies.
A message seeking comment was left Wednesday at the office of U.S. attorney for Ohio's northern district.

Now Here's My Thoughts...
I think these people should stop wasting the time of the courts. I think that if these 41 Plaintiffs don't like "In God We Trust" on our money, then maybe they shouldn't be suing for that same money. Maybe they should move to some other country where they don't believe in God and only themselves. God has been a part of this Nation since its founding, I don't care what the "popular belief" is. This Country WAS founded on Christian beliefs. For those who argue that FACT, then explain how GOD ended up in so many of our Nations documents, buildings, and MONEY in the first place? If you don't like the way this Country represents GOD, then MOVE OUT OF IT! Plain and Simple! We don't need your self-idolatrous values. Try going over to the Middle East and suing their government for things related to ALLAH. Yea, I didn't think so. You take advantage of our system here. Sorry, but 41 people (42 including the attorney) shouldn't have the right to speak for the other 200 million people living here who do believe in GOD and respect the FACT that this Country was founded on Christian Beliefs. So all of you Atheists, how about all of you moving to some deserted island where you can worship each other, that is, until the wrath of GOD pours upon you and your island.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
